Desgarro/rigidez del cuádriceps
Un desgarro del cuádriceps por correr es una lesión grave que implica un desgarro parcial o total de uno o más músculos cuádriceps (más comúnmente el recto femoral) en la parte delantera del muslo.
Common Injuries Associated With Running
Quadricep strain/tightness
A quad tear from running is a serious injury involving partial or complete tearing of one or more of the quadriceps muscles (most commonly the rectus femoris) at the front of your thigh.
Runners kneeRunner’s knee is the common name for patellofemoral pain syndrome (PFPS). Pain comes from irritation around or behind the kneecap (patella), where it meets the thigh bone (femur).
ITB syndrome
Inflammation and irritation of the iliotibial band, a thick band of connective tissue running along the outside of the thigh from hip to shin.
Pain happens where the IT band repeatedly rubs over the outside of the knee (lateral femoral condyle).
Achilles Tendonopathy is a common overuse injury of the Achilles tendon (the thick tendon connecting calf muscles to the heel). It’s especially seen in runners, jumpers, and athletes who suddenly increase training
Planarfacisa which is the most common cause of heel pain, especially in runners and people who spend long hours standing.
Shin splints, also known as medial tibial stress syndrome, are a common running injury that causes pain along the front or inner edge of the shinbone. They are often linked to overtraining, sudden increases in running intensity, or running on hard surfaces. If left untreated, shin splints can worsen and significantly limit training.
Glute weakness/bursitis
The gluteal muscles are key for hip stability, posture, and lower-limb alignment.
Inflammation of the bursa over the greater trochanter (outer hip bone).
Calf strain
A calf strain is a tear in one of the calf muscles It’s very common in runners, footballers, and sports involving sudden acceleration or jumping.
Glute weakness/bursitis
The gluteal muscles are key for hip stability, posture, and lower-limb alignment.
Inflammation of the bursa over the greater trochanter (outer hip bone).
Mortons Neuromer a common cause of forefoot pain in runners and people who spend a lot of time on their feet
Hamsting strain
A hamstring tear is an injury to one or more of the hamstring muscles at the back of the thigh (biceps femoris, semimembranosus, semitendinosus).
Lower back pain
Lower back pain from running is fairly common, and usually comes down to biomechanics, weakness, or training load rather than a serious spinal problem.
Lesiones al correr
Football is an exciting and demanding sport, but its physical nature also places significant stress on the body.
From tackles and collisions to sudden changes in speed and direction, football can often lead to a range of common injuries. At our clinic, we regularly work with players of all levels, whether recreational or competitive, 5 aside to 11 aside, supporting them in their recovery and helping to prevent future problems. Below are some of the most frequent football-related injuries we treat daily.
Don’t let injuries hold you back—let’s get you back to playing your best and enjoying the game with confidence.

Common Injuries Associated With Football
An LCL injury in football often happens during direct impact to the inside of the knee or from awkward twisting movements.
A groin strain happens when the muscles of the inner thigh are overstretched or torn, often during sudden changes of direction, sprinting, or kicking.
A sportsman’s hernia isn’t a true hernia. It refers to a weakness or tear in the soft tissue of the lower abdominal wall. Commonly, it causes deep groin pain that worsens with twisting, turning, or kicking.
An ankle inversion sprain is the most common type of ankle injury in football. It occurs when the foot rolls inward, overstretching or tearing the ligaments on the outside of the ankle.
An ACL injury often happens in football during sudden stops, changes in direction, or awkward landings from a jump. Symptoms include a “popping” sound at the time of injury, rapid swelling, knee instability, and pain when trying to pivot or run.
Achilles Tendonopathy is a common overuse injury of the Achilles tendon (the thick tendon connecting calf muscles to the heel). It’s especially seen in running sports and can lead to a full tear.
A quadriceps injury usually happens through sudden sprinting, powerful kicking, or a direct blow to the thigh. It can range from mild strains to more severe tears.
A metatarsal fracture is a common football injury, often caused by a direct blow (such as being stamped on), twisting the foot, or repetitive stress from running and kicking.
An MCL injury is common in football and usually occurs when the knee is forced inwards during a tackle or awkward landing.Meniscus tear often happens in football when twisting or turning sharply on a bent knee, especially during tackles or sudden pivots.
